Sean was a decorated Lower Merion Police department officer; he earned 32 Letters of Commendations while with the department. He also received one Unit Commendation Letter and one Outstanding Agency Commendation as part of his receiving of the Philadelphia 76ers Hometown Hero Award for his services as D.A.R.E. Officer and CPR/First Aid/AED Instructor.

Along with his D.A.R.E. and first aid/CPR work, Sean was also a certified Internet safety instructor and a 911 call taker. A devout Catholic who taught CCD, Sean was a Eucharistic Minister. He was a father of three children, stepfather to three and grandfather to one.

According to his wife, Eileen, “He was an incredible man and was the love of my life.”
