“Even in times of trauma, we try to maintain a sense of normality until we no longer can. That, my friends, is called surviving. Not healing. We never become whole again … we are survivors. If you are here today… you are a survivor. But those of us who have made it thru hell and are still standing? We bare a different name: warriors.”

Amanda

Amanda is passionate about and an advocate for the law enforcement community. She is the wife of a First Sgt. with the VA State Police and a former 911 dispatcher. After battling depression and anxiety for most of her life, and realizing the effects PTSD has on her, her husband and many of their friends, she knew it was time to start advocating for more help in the LEO community and changing the stigma behind asking for help!

When she’s not making connections to organizations across the east coast, she is working full time in an HR department and loves traveling around the world when she can. She is the step mother to one 11 year old and dreams of a day when all departments have a wellness program with people dedicated to helping the helpers when it’s needed.
